My name is James, and I’m an aspiring fiction writer.  I’ve been a member of a writing group for more than a year, I’ve read a handful of books on writing, and I’ve attended a few writing seminars and conferences.  While I’ve been writing in one form or another all my life, only recently did I decide to make a serious effort to get published.  I am currently finishing my first novel, and plan to look for traditional representation while at the same time testing the electronic distribution waters.  While I am by no means an expert on writing, I find that many of us share the same challenges and difficulties with both the craft and the business of writing, and by sharing insight and advice, we can all help each other to be successful.
